Recoloring guide
How to recolor a PNG image
Replace a selected color in a raster PNG, then inspect the edges and transparent background before export. This example uses an original coral icon with a dark detail.

Start with a raster PNG
Download the starting PNG or use the sample link above. This is a raster graphic, not a vector editing workflow. Existing transparency is different from removing a background.
Choose the color to replace
In Pick, sample the coral region and set the replacement to teal (#0d9488). Move to Adjust to see the recolored result. For this flat icon, use Strength 100, Tolerance 28, Edge softness 18, and turn Shade off. Leave Color purity at 68 and Prime white first on, with Protect and Detail off.
Restrict the edit when colors repeat
If another part of your PNG uses the same source color, use Select to include only the intended region. Use Erase to protect details. Our sample has a distinct dark detail, so no painted mask is required.
Inspect edges and transparency
Check the exported PNG on a checkerboard and over light and dark backgrounds. This example retains its 480 × 360 dimensions, transparent pixels and partial transparency at the edges. Edge RGB values can change during browser decoding and export; inspect appearance as well as alpha.
Export the recolored PNG
Download PNG exports the recolor without the mask overlay or comparison line. Larger inputs are resized to at most 1,800 pixels on the longest side. For rough boundaries, follow the recolor settings guide.
Try your own color replacement
Choose an image, replace a selected color, inspect the result, and download a PNG.
